Notebook (Journal)

Hi all,

Please equip yourself with a journal or notebook of sorts. No need to be too big, too expensive. Just portable and reasonably sized for writing. This is because I would like you all to pen your experiences and learning points all throughout the trip.

It is important that you keep your thoughts flowing throughout the entire trip. Allow the experiences to touch you and affect your consciousness. Make this trip a meaningful one for yourself by taking away precious nuggets of discoveries that you have made of yourself. So that when you take out this journal again sometime down the journey of your life, you can recall what this trip has taught you.

Please do some "homework" for this Wednesday before you come for the debriefing on Fundraising. Think about the good points as well as the problems you have faced and how it can be rectified. If you're going to do this all over again, how would you change your track. Think about what this fundraising has taught you. We'll do some sharing on Wednesday. Teachers included.

I beg all of you, put some thought into this activity. Thanks.

What's this about?

This June, 23 students accompanied by 2 teachers will embark on a service learning trip to Kampong Chan, in the province of Prey Veng, Cambodia. There, they will put together their efforts to help paint two classroom blocks, furnish a library, interact and teach the children and perhaps assist in the construction of wells for the community.

Anything to say?
